So incredibly proud of you Jake! Congratulations ๐ ๐. We love you!
As we gather together and welcome our life member's family, that travels to Pennsylvania, we invite your prayers and love. We give thanks for the beauty, faith and love of our Saint, Virginia "Gini" Armstrong. We grieve of her loss, while fully rejoicing in the beauty of Heaven. ![]()
Virginia โGiniโ Stallard Armstrong was born on February 20, 1939, in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, to Ethel and Lloyd Stallard. She lived 86 years filled with love, generosity, and creativity. Gini passed away peacefully on January 1, 2026, in Fayetteville, Georgia, after a brief battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Neil W. Armstrong, daughter Debi Siddall, and brother Ted Stallard.![]()
Her legacy continues through her family: daughter Vickie Parfitt and husband David; son Gene Armstrong and wife Jackie; and grandchildren David Morgan, Keith Siddall, Noelle Picton (Trent), Greg Siddall, Elizabeth Tracey (Chris), Will Parfitt (Caroline), Ryan Armstrong, Amy Eberwein (Noah), Spencer Armstrong (Rachel), and Maggie Armstrong. She also cherished her great-grandchildren Joshua Morgan, Aurora Morgan, and Evie Eberwein. Gini valued many lifelong friends like Janice Erminio, Arlene Fullem, and Gertie Gerwig, ![]()
After graduating from Uniontown High School, Gini trained in Data Processing in Honolulu, Hawaii, and worked as a data processor. She later owned a cross-stitch shop in Wallingford, Connecticut, and retired as a bookkeeper at Southwick & Meister in Meriden, Connecticut.![]()
A devoted Christian, Gini was a lifetime member of Central Christian Church in Uniontown and volunteered with Worldwide Discipleship Association. She enjoyed playing hymns on her keyboard, sewing quilts, cross-stitching, and attending her Uniontown High School Class of โ57 reunions. She also shared her musical talents with the Peachtree City Peach Pickers Dulcimer Group.![]()
Though her passing is a great loss, Giniโs spirit, faith, and love continue to inspire those who knew her. A Memorial Service will be at Central Christian Church (DOC), 23 South Gallatin Ave, on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 11:00am. The Rev. Heather Simpson will be officiating. Friends and Family are welcome to visit with Family beginning at 10:30am, and a luncheon will follow the memorial service.
Central Christian Church (DOC) has been blessed with a generous grant to initiate a wonderful opportunity for us to gather the wisdom of some of our older and younger members to share life skills and fellowship together! Check out the NBA news release attached here, as you will find our church listed and accepted program. What great news to Celebrate! ๐ ![]()
